Tourist Visa Requirements

  • Valid Philippine passport (6+ months validity)
  • Completed visa application form
  • Recent 2x2 photo (white background, 4.5cm x 4.5cm)
  • Bank certificate and bank statements (last 3-6 months)
  • Employment certificate or business documents
  • Daily schedule/itinerary in Japan
  • Hotel reservations or guarantee letter from Japanese host
  • Return flight booking
  • Apply through accredited travel agency (not directly to embassy)

Working in Japan — SSW & TITP

Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) — Since 2019

The SSW programme is Japan's main work visa for foreign workers. SSW Type 1 covers 14 sectors including nursing care, agriculture, food processing, construction, and hospitality. Workers can stay up to 5 years.
